    On Friday, May 4th, the EGen SWATeam had their final meeting of the 2017-18 school year. Guest Scott Willenbrock presented the pros and cons of solar/wind PPA. He also discussed the Illinois Solar Project located in Sidney and their REC pricing.

Description

The iCAP (2010) provides the following commitments for energy conservation:  

·         20% reduction in total building energy use by fiscal year 2015 (compared to 2008)

·         15% reduction in associated building related emissions by 2015

The iCAP provides the following commitments for building standards:

·         all new buildings and major renovations meet LEED Gold Standards by 2011

·         all new buildings and major renovations meet LEED Platinum Standards by 2015

·         all currently planned new construction and major renovation projects demonstrate at least a 30% improvement in building energy performance over ASHRAE Standard 90.1 for total building energy use by 2015

The iCAP provides the following commitments for space management and growth:

·         “no net increase in space” policy for the entire campus by 2012, applicable to all space controlled by campus
