Illini Solar Car is currently building our fourth generation vehicle with large support from SSC. We are preparing to compete with “Project D” in the 2026 American Solar Challenge. In ASC we represent the University of Illinois and demonstrate our solar car’s efficiency in a cross-country distance competition. 
In order to perform well, the team needs to register for the event, form a dedicated race team, acquire necessary tools for maintenance, equipment for our solar car convoy, and create media to show off our team’s performance and promote sustainable engineering to the world.
