Sustainable Design Gallery

Project Description

The Sustainable Design Gallery on the second floor of the Architecture Building will be the first campus gallery space devoted to sustainable design and act as an interdisciplinary hub for conversations at the intersection of art and design, environmental science, and policy. Hosted by the Sustainable Design Program in the College of Fine and Applied Arts, the publicly-accessible gallery will produce four unique exhibitions per year that feature faculty, students, RSO’s, visiting artists and designers, and sustainabilityfocused research across campus. The project includes an annual public lecture series and workshops by visiting artists and designers for the UIUC community; publicly-accessible physical and digital archives of all exhibitions; community-building events; and professional development and leadership opportunities for students.
