SUSTAINAPALOOZA 2026

Project Description

Sustainapalooza will increase environmental stewardship in several different ways. First, we will highlight and promote student environmental organizations to increase awareness of their work and advocacy. Furthemore, Sustainapalooza has and will continue to be an important example of how the university can run a large-scale event with sustainability at the forefront. This is achieved through our use of a zero waste plan that helps to divert waste from the waste stream. Lastly, we promote ideas of a circular economy by promoting local business and holding a clothing swap where people can divert clothing waste. All these examples help to show what environmental stewardship can look like for the university.
