KAM Sustainability Working Group Question
Posted by Quinn Connolly on June 1, 2023
Dear Morgan:
I just learned that Meredith Moore has moved on, and since you’re the only other person I know connected to the ISSE, I wondered if I could pass my question over to her about continuing education at all staff meetings for KAM on sustainability. Of course I know you don’t have any time for this, but I suspected that you might know of someone I could ask (or just wait for Meredith’s successor).
All the best,
jls

Hi Jon!
Yes, we were very sad that Meredith moved on. She now has a great sustainability job working with a packaging firm called Shorr. One of their clients is Amazon, so that's really exciting.
I'm copying four people here. Daphne is the F&S Zero Waste Coordinator for campus, and she can arrange a time to talk with the Krannert Art Museum's green team about campus recycling and related topics. Sarthak is the F&S Sustainable Transportation point person, and he can talk with the team about active transportation (bus, bike, walkability, zip car, etc.). Paul Foote is the energy efficiency specialist. He is fairly busy with the green research efforts and retrocommissioning work, but he can either find some time to talk or point you to some additional resources. I'm also copying Eric Green with iSEE. He runs the undergraduate sustainability minor and is the primary staff person for sustainability related education.
We are working to replace Meredith, but I can still assist as needed. I'd be happy to find a time to meet with your group, as well. Please remind me of your regular meeting times.
Thanks!
Morgan

Hi Jon,
I would be happy to meet with your team later this summer and cover items for sustainability and energy efficiency within your spaces.
Let me know if you have specific areas you are targeting and I will try to focus on them.
Are you only interested in the KAM or are there other buildings included in your space.
Here is a graph reflecting energy consumption over the past 5 -years for KAM
You can ignore June 2023 it has not been verified and input yet.
Thank you
Paul Foote
