Community-accessible Composting
Project Description
This project aims to continue momentum with previous composting events to more frequently and broadly service composting on campus through the remainder of the 2025-2026 academic year (January - May) via WasteNot Compost, a zero-emissions compost hauler from Chicagoland. Specific sites on
campus would have regular composting service via WasteNot Compost starting in the spring semester. The pilot aims to target the most engaged, captive audiences looking to participate in communityaccessible composting, with the intention to grow the compost activities organically as more departments and individuals seek to be involved.
This proposal directly funds the following. See approved budget for details.
1. Compost cart service
2. Marketing supplies and digital signage
3. WasteNot service fee
