Ecofeminism Summit

Project Description

The Ecofeminism Summit 2022 offers a month-long series of programs designed to connect social justice, environmental justice, and feminist theory. Keynote lectures, workshops, film screening, and lectures will provide students with unique opportunities to further explore eco-feminist theory and praxis. The goal of this project is to provide eco-feminism resources, not only for people who are involved in sustainability and environmental justice initiatives, but to also expand the audience beyond that. Ecofeminism explores the intersectionality of environmentalism and feminism. This touches on both environmental justice and social justice, and how those overlap with each other. The keynote speakers will discuss how environmental impacts disproportionately impact women and how women can leave their impact on the environment.
