Grind2Energy System for Housing Food Stores

Project Description

This project aims to bring a Grind2Energy Food System to Housing Food Stores, where University Catering prepares food for events. Grind2Energy is a system currently used to divert dining hall food waste from landfills. This project would enable waste from the university’s catering operations to also be diverted from landfills. With this system in place, students, faculty and staff will be able to enjoy catered events knowing their waste is being disposed of sustainably. This project is requesting funding for equipment costs. All other costs of installation and operation would be covered by Housing.

This proposal directly funds the following. See approved budget for details.
1. Grind2Energy Equipment 2. Materials and Other Resources Including Access to Usage Data, CAD Consulting, Project Management Consultant Services, Transportation, CAD Waiver
