Illini Lights Out 2026

Project Description

iSEE’s Illini Lights Out (ILO) program demonstrates the immense energy-saving impact of simply turning off the lights when you leave a classroom, lab, or study space. On several Friday evenings each semester, volunteers gather to form lights-out brigades that fan out across campus to record how many lights are left on and shut off as many as they can! Illini Lights Out engages student volunteers to turn lights out in key campus buildings, to conserve energy and raise awareness of the need to work together toward our energy conservation goals.

This proposal directly funds the following. See approved budget for details.
1. One year's worth of cookies 2. Signage 3. Light switch stickers
