Reusable Rocketry Program

Project Description

The Spaceshot team is developing a reusable launch vehicle program designed to reduce material waste while expanding hands-on engineering opportunities for students. As the team grows past 200 active members and increases its launch cadence, Spaceshot is shifting from expendable hardware to modular, reusable vehicles and sustainable ground support systems. This project will develop reusable composite air frames, advanced parachute systems, precision telemetry and tracking, and ground infrastructure powered by renewable energy to support operations. By combining sustainable engineering practices with a student-first approach to development, the program will educate hundreds of students directly on campus, and impact thousands of others interested in sustainable engineering.

This proposal directly funds the following. See approved budget for details.
