At our last Lights Out event of the semester, 2711 light bulbs were shut off that otherwise would have been left on all weekend, saving $412.47 in energy costs. This also prevented 4.045 metric tons of CO2 equivalent from entering the atmosphere, which is equivalent to the greenhouse gas emissions from 397 gallons of gasoline being consumed.
