Sustainable Art & Design Exhibition
Project Description
This project is an art and design exhibition focused on depicting the artist's’ definitions and themes around sustainability. The primary goal is to help educate people that attend the show about the importance of including sustainable principles and actions in everyday life through the lens of the artist. This exhibition will also showcase alternative sustainable materials. This exhibition will feature agricultural residue paper made at Fresh Press and use them as an example in the artwork on the walls. By addressing these environmental concerns through artwork, this team believes it will easier for the visitors to digest the information and walk away with examples to implement changes within their lives.
This show will be organized and curated by a core team of three Art + Design University students. For the art majors putting together a show will be great practice for their future careers. The artists for the show will be both from the University and surrounding areas in Illinois.
