  • Illinois Climate Action Plan 2020 Chapter Summary: Zero Waste. Where we've been: F&S started program to meet campus’s goal of zero waste (2019); Funding approved to replace campus trash bins with 130 dual trash & recycling bins (2020); Educational tours of Waste Transfer Station have increased engagement. Where we’re going: Reduce landfilled waste to 4,544 tons or less, a decrease of at least 10% by FY24; Establish green cleaning program by FY24; Increase Housing’s use of local food to 35% by FY30.
