Parking Master Plan (Completed)

Recent Project Updates

Project Family

The goal of the new Master Plan is to provide safe and accessible parking for the whole campus community – and since you’re part of that community, the changes will directly and indirectly benefit you!  The comprehensive planning process will include these steps:

  • Needs assessment, including use of existing parking spaces and campus-wide demand for parking

  • Parking alternatives analysis for the replacement of central campus garages C7 and C10

  • Visitor parking assessment including visitor parking locations, visitor parking policy and way-finding

  • Operational assessment, including Parking Department customer service, staffing, enforcement, equipment, financial condition and other aspects

  • Parking technology assessment

  • Parking facility assessment, including current condition and a 10-year facility maintenance and replacement plan

  • Financial analysis, including operational costs, fee structure, sources of revenue, and financing of improvements

  • Production of a Parking Department Master Plan that will guide parking operations and facilities for the next 10 years

Walker Parking Consultants will guide the planning process. Walker Parking Consultants has extensive experience in helping large campuses make the most of limited space and financial resources. While Walker Parking Consultants will make recommendations, policy decisions that affect parking facilities and operations will be made on our campus.

The Parking Department is committed to keeping you informed as we explore our options in depth during this planning process. Your knowledge about these events is our priority during this 2 year process. Please check back here for news regarding the Parking Master Plan, as we will be constantly updating this page as new information becomes available. We welcome your feedback and comments at
