| Indoor Bin Update |
This project will improve the recycling process in buildings around campus by encouraging sustainable actions and improving the layout of waste and recycling bins within these buildings. Facilities & Services collaborated with ISTC to make an “Indoor Solid Waste and Recycling Collection Assessment”. This assessment determined that the type and layout of collection containers in buildings across campus should be standardized. An update would enable them to be co-located and allow for greater infrastructure consistency. |
| Install Solar PVs on NCPD [ARCHIVED] |
The goal of the ECE (Electrical and Computer Engineering Building project is to achieve Platinum LEED standards and be net zero for outside energy consumption. To meet that goal, engineers have proposed the use of solar panels atop the ECE building to offset the building’s energy consumption. Complexities of building design have resulted in the building being unable to support a sufficient number of solar arrays to generate the energy required to offset the building’s energy consumption. |
| Parking Master Plan |
The goal of the new Master Plan is to provide safe and accessible parking for the whole campus community – and since you’re part of that community, the changes will directly and indirectly benefit you! The comprehensive planning process will include these steps: Needs assessment, including use of existing parking spaces and campus-wide demand for parking Parking alternatives analysis for the replacement of central campus garages C7 and C10 |
