September 14th was Bike to Work Day at the University of Illinois. Hundreds of students and staff enjoyed the beautiful weather, and took their bikes to work and class, stopping at one of eight welcoming stations set up around campus to celebrate the day. Participants received a T-shirt, refreshments, and tips on bike safety and security. The University of Illinois has earned a silver designation as a Bicycle Friendly University from the League of American Bicyclists.
