Description
The Land Conservation Foundation's mission is to preserve and restore natural communities in East Central Illinois, to create interconnected corridors, to provide wildlife habitat, and connect people and nature for future generations. Established in 2003, LCF represents conservation efforts in overlapping regions for the University, hosting free nature programs, workdays, field trips, and the annual Mudpuppy Festival.
Events like the Mudpuppy Festival, held yearly, invite participants from the local community to celebrate the many native species within the region.
