The iCAP Working Group met on 9-9-22 and discussed the following agenda. The meeting minutes are attached.
The Bike Project of Urbana-Champaign, in partnership with the U of I Campus Bike Center, is hosting a Kids’ Bike Giveaway this holiday season!

12/7/2020

The Bike Project is currently accepting donations of all kids’ and teen bikes, regardless of condition, and then refurbishing them to give back to young folks in the community!

Description

The University is working to make cycling safer for everyone by improving the infrastructure for bicycling as well as the educational opportunities made available to cyclists, but it is also working to encourage new riders to try bicycling as a method of transportation. Programs such as Bike to Work Day are designed to encourage new cyclists. Bike Sharing is under discussion as an opportunity to provide bicycles to more users on campus. Finally, the University is exploring ways to incentivize bicycle commuting for its employees.
