  1. Undergraduate Library

    ICECF 2009 Lighting Retrofit [ARCHIVED]

    As part of the ICECF 2009 Lighting Retrofit, 2,294 T-12 fixtures in the Undergraduate Library were replaced with the more energy-efficient T-8 fixtures. This switch will incur an Annual kWh Savings of 508,525 hours. The simple payback for this project is -0.17 years.

  4. Wohlers Hall

    As part of the ICECF 2009 Lighting Retrofit, 1,071 T-12 fixtures in the Wohlers Hall were replaced with more energy-efficient T-8 fixtures. This switch will incur an Annual kWh Savings of 168,358 hours. The simple payback for this project is 0.83 years.

  5. Power Plant Carbon Sequestration via Algae Biodiesel Production Funding Agreement

    Student Sustainability Committee (SSC)

    The goal of this project is to construct an Algae Biodiesel Production Facility at Abott power plant. This facility will sequester some of the flue gases produced at Abott power plant while providing a renewable, carbon neutral fuel source for transportation.  The project offers potential for scaling, involves many student organizations and is also expected to be of research interest. Thus, the Student Sustainability Committee is in favor of partially funding the requested amount to the extent of $13,000
