The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign welcomed arecord-breaking class of studentsfor the 2023-24 academic year. Representing excellence at scale, the total student enrollment is 56,403.
By the numbers:
8,325 new freshmen
74% in-state students, the largest number since 2006
22% from underrepresented groups
24% first-generation college students
6,304 new graduate students, one of the largest group of new graduate students in history
