Description
According to Illinois Extension, "Integrated Pest Management is a system for reducing crop losses from insects, weeds and plant diseases. IPM uses all available control practices such as crop rotation (changing what's grown in a field), selecting resistant varieties (plants resistant to pests), mechanical cultivation, changing planting and harvesting times, biological control (using other living organisms to control pests), and chemical control."
The Land and Water iCAP Team worked with various stakeholders around campus to develop an IMP program for each major campus landscape management unit. Those files are shown here, and the Campus Landscape Architect will work with the related stakeholders to review these plans on a regular basis to ensure they remain active and accurate.
