Search tips:
  • This form will search for words in the title OR the description. If you would like to search for the same term(s) across both the title and description, enter the same search term(s) in both fields.
  • This form will search for any of the words you enter in a field, not the exact phrase you enter. If you would like to search for an exact phrase, put double quotes (") around the phrase. For example, if you search for Bike Path you will get results containing either the word Bike OR the word Path, but if you search for "Bike Path" you will get results containing the exact phrase Bike Path.

  1. Layout of Demonstration Plots

    Associated Project(s):

    Here is the layout of the 4 prairie plots just west of the pollinatarium building and wooded area.  They are designed to give decision makers and homeowners an idea of how prairie plantings of different heights can look.

    The plant mix is good for pollinators and will have something in bloom most of the growing season, it was however limited by what we could get late in the late spring.

  10. Conservation Budget Recommendation - Assessment by the iWG

    ECONS001 Conservation Budget Recommendation was assessed by the iCAP Working Group (iWG) on May 21, 2015. The iWG's official comment was:

    "Facilities & Services doesn’t have decision authority on this matter. Office of the Provost decides on budgets. Kent had proposed ESCOs to take care of some deferred maintenance, and funding was pulled from the State. The State pulled funding allocations for facilities both retroactive and recurring. iWG members support the statement."

  11. University Housing award application

    University Housing applied for (and later won) the 2015 Illinois Governor's Sustainability Award.

    Housing has implemented sustainable efforts across our organization. By working together, we make significant change that also impacts the environment and our bottom line. Our residents and staff benefit from local foods; clean, non-toxic facilities; and gain education and contribute to a sustainable future. Our sustainability initiatives have resulted in cost savings on raw food, food waste, water, electricity, and chemicals. Our recycling efforts have diverted tons of waste from landfills. And our education efforts help our residents and staff members see how their actions and choices contribute to sustainability efforts.
