Description

The Green Observer is the only student-ran environmental publication at the University of Illinois. As a part of Students for Environmental Concerns (SECS), the Green Observer strives to give a platform to students on a range of environmental topics and uplift new perspectives on a variety of issues from all parts of campus. Our publication frequently receives articles, poetry, photography, and many other forms of art submissions.

We seek to publish three times a year, compiling editions for Winter, Spring, and Fall. To get involved, show up to a SECS meeting on Wednesdays at 6:30pm in the Channing Murray Foundation (1209 W Oregon St.) for more information. To see current and prior editions, check us out at https://issuu.com/greenobserver.

Background

The Green Observer is a Registered Student Organization and a member of the University YMCA. We print two issues per semester and strive for objective reporting on environmental issues impacting students and students’ impact on the environment.
