  1. UIUC Ranked Sagacious IP Global Green100 Top Company

    The University of Illinois has been listed as one of the top companies in Sagacious IP's Global GREEN100 Ranking for its work towards creating a green future!

    Ranking is done through the volume of patents filed in green technology domains as well as the quality of an organization's current and projected green patent portfolio. This portfolio is analyzed through a rigorous methodology which weighs sectors/industries impacted, citation analysis, and 15 other components measuring a company's commitment, impact, and potential. 

  2. FY21 Green Power Partnership Renewed

    F&S completed the renewal of our recognition as a Green Power Partner through the US Environmental Protection Agency. Green Power Partners of our scale now have to use renewable power for seven percent of their annual consumption. Fortunately, the FY21 green power supply for FY21 was 9%, which is a +1.72% increase from the FY19 supply of 7.28%. See attached file.

  4. FY20 Green Power Partnership renewed

    F&S has renewed our campus' recognition as a Green Power Partner for FY20 through the Environmental Protection Agency. This voluntary program promotes the use of green power, and the combined supply for the Champaign-Urbana campus during FY20 was 7.2% of the total electricity usage.

    In the past two years, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has made a substantial and systemic commitment to sustainability. This commitment is expressed in our strategic plan, in the development of a campus Sustainability Council, a new Office of Sustainability, and in a host of other ways that impact our curriculums, physical design, and our daily practices.
