  8. iCAP Portal Admin Meeting - July 22, 2024

    Discussion

    • Archiving projects
      • Example using a "Record Status" field with "Active" and "Archived" options
      • Questions:
        • How to display archived projects on associated Project Update & Metric pages:
          • Show project name w/o link? - No, we want people to still be able to reach archived information
          • Show a second listing of "Associated Archived Projects"? - No
          • ✔️ Show archival status next to linked project name?
        • Should we hide archived projects from being listed in other projects' Child/Related Project listings?
          • Yes, for now. We can find a way to make that information available later on if desired.
      • Thoughts:
        • Include "[ARCHIVED]" status in project title most places it's listed
        • Should remove project from most listings to keep information up-to-date, but keep it listed when tied to specific other information, e.g. Project Updates and Metrics (may want to demote it in Metrics may collect many associated archived projects over time)
    • Revisit Bike Fee funding discussion - Morgan recommends sharing broad funding details

    TODOs

    • Michael will keep working on the archived projects feature to show in more depth at next meeting
    • Next meeting needs to be rescheduled; Quinn is on it!

  10. Photos from Energy Farm

    Agrivoltaic Research Solar Array at Energy Farm

    Please see attached photos from the Energy Farm. These photos show approximately 1 month old plants which are growing under the array as part of agrivoltaic research. During the 2024 season, tomatoes and kale are being tested. Future plantings will include more consumer crops like carrots.

  12. Weekly Update: Slow week

    All, Slow week, except for the full family that brought in 4 bikes over 2 days so everyone could get riding. One of the kids was extra inquisitive on what bikes parts were and their function. Genuine interest is always appreciated!

    Worked through most of our donations of the last few weeks and now have to parse out the build-a-bikes from the for-sale builds to hopefully make the process easier for my staff.

    The numbers:

    Visitors: 12
    Sales: $424.50

    Bikes (refurb): 1 for $175
    Memberships: 6 for $180
    Tires/tubes: 3 for $20

  15. Weekly Update

    All, Had a visit from someone who works at the Idea Store in Urbana. We were able to donate an old junky wheel to them for an art project—always happy to repurpose bike parts we can’t use! Even more so to an organization that helps recycle as many things as they do.

    This week we’ll still be working through the donations we’ve accrued in the last few weeks.

    The numbers:

    Visitors: 17
    Sales: $514.25
    Bikes (refurb): 1 for $180
    Membership: 4 for $120
    Tires/tubes: 11 for $88

    The dates for Bike Month 2024 have been set, and noted on the flyers:

    • Wed, Sept 18, 7-10 am:  Bike to Work Day
    • Thu, Sept 19, 4-7 pm:  Light the Night
    • Fri, Sept 20, 7-10 am:  Bike to Work Day rain date
    • Tue, Sept 24, 4-7 pm:  Light the Night rain date
