Project Updates search results

Search tips:
  • This form will search for words in the title OR the description. If you would like to search for the same term(s) across both the title and description, enter the same search term(s) in both fields.
  • This form will search for any of the words you enter in a field, not the exact phrase you enter. If you would like to search for an exact phrase, put double quotes (") around the phrase. For example, if you search for Bike Path you will get results containing either the word Bike OR the word Path, but if you search for "Bike Path" you will get results containing the exact phrase Bike Path.
  1. Central Stores data CY 2022-2024

    Associated Project(s):

    Here are the numbers for white paper that Central Stores has sold and the current price per ream (as of FY24). These ream numbers are from January 1 2022-December 31 2024:

    0% - 25,858 reams $3.80 each

    30% - 9,801 reams $6.98 each

    100% - 389 reams $5.49 each (ream price cheaper than 30%, because the prices have not been updated in a few years as the 100% paper does not sell anymore)

    Things are picking up and to meet demand, we’ll work on getting some more bikes for sale. We did have nice 3 speed Build-a-Bike finished this week.

    Hoped to have a few more bikes done this last week but all of the ones I safety checked failed and then some—damaged wheels/broken components—but such is the plight of repairing old bikes.

    Tonight is the Bike Project Monthly Members Meeting.

    This week is our first Bike Center on the Quad Day. Fingers crossed for good weather and a good turnout!

    The numbers:

    Visitors: 59
    Sales: $328
    Bikes (refurb): 1 for $150
    Bikes (B-a-B): 1 for $50

  7. Illini Lights Out 3/28

    Associated Project(s):

    At this Friday's Illinii Lights Out event! With your help, 3470 light bulbs were shut off that otherwise would have been left on all weekend, saving $527.94 in energy costs. This also prevented 5.05 metric tons of CO2 equivalent from entering the atmosphere, which is equivalent to the greenhouse gas emissions from 568 gallons of gasoline being consumed. That's a great impact!

  10. Weekly Digest

    Associated Project(s):

    We were closed last week for Spring Break. Used the quiet time to crank out a few more bikes. We’re hovering around double digits in the for-sale department. With the final batch of bikes out of the barn, I’ll be able to do an earnest inventory and have my staff sort bikes between For Sale/B-a-Bs. A little clarity in that realm will hopefully elp move bikes along a little quicker.

    This week we will resume being open Mon – Fri.

    The following numbers are from 3/10 - 3/14:

    Visitors: 64
    Sales: $1,196.15
    Bikes (refurb): 3 for $650
    Memberships: 10 for $300
    Tires/tubes:  10 for $60.75
